Ingredients For honey margarine macaroni and cheese

  • HONEY MARGARINE
  • 2 1/2 stick
    margarine, melted
  • 3/4 c
    honey
  • MACARONI AND CHEESE
  • 1 c
    shaved Parmesan cheese
  • 16 oz
    dry elbow macaroni
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 3/4 c
    whole milk
  • 3
    egg whites
  • 1 Tbsp
    sea salt mixed with black pepper
  • 8 oz
    sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 8 oz
    colby jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 c
    shredded Parmesan cheese

How To Make honey margarine macaroni and cheese

    Whisk melted margarine and honey together in a small bowl until combined.

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly coat a 9x13-inch baking dish. Add shaved Parmesan cheese and spread out evenly.

    Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon honey margarine and macaroni and cook until al dente for 8 minutes.

    Drain and return to the pot. Add 1 tablespoon honey margarine; stir well for 30 seconds. Set aside.

    In a large bowl, mix the heavy cream, milk, egg whites, 2 tablespoons honey margarine and sea salt/black pepper together until fully combined.

    In a separate bowl, combine the shredded sharp cheddar, colby jack, and Parmesan cheese and 2 tablespoons honey margarine; mix well.

    Layer 1/2 the macaroni in a prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 of the cheese mixture. Repeat the layers.

    Pour the milk mixture over the top and add the remaining honey margarine. Mix evenly.
