8 ozgouda cheese, shredded and divided

1 cPanko bread crumbs, divided

8 ozelbow macaroni

1 Tbspolive oil

2banana peppers, sliced

1 Tbspsea salt mixed with black pepper

3/4 Tbspshredded Parmesan cheese

2 Tbspmargarine
-
3 Tbspall purpose flour
-
2 cmilk
-
16 ozcream cheese
-
1 tspground cumin
-
1 tspground marjoram
-
1 tspground thyme
How To Make baked macaroni with gouda and banana peppers

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2Coat a 2 quart baking dish with cooking spray. Add 1 cup shredded gouda cheese and 1/2 cup bread crumbs; mix well.

3Meanwhile, bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook for 8 to 10 minutes; drain.

4Heat olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add sliced banana peppers and saute for 4 minutes or until tender.

5Season with sea salt/black pepper and sprinkle with shredded Parmesan cheese. Remove from heat and set aside.

6In a medium saucepan, add margarine, flour and milk over medium heat. Shisk together for 2 minutes.

7Stir in cream cheese, ground cumin, marjoram and thyme; cook, stirring frequently, until mixture boils and thickens.

8Add cooked macaroni, sauteed banana pepper mixture and remaining shredded gouda cheese; mix well until combined.

9Pour into a prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle with remaining bread crumbs.

10Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Let cool 10 minutes before serving.
