Ingredients For broccoli mac and cheese

  • 1/2 c
    elbow macaroni
  • 1 c
    broccoli florets
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    flour
  • 3/4 c
    milk
  • 3/4 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tsp
    breadcrumbs

How To Make broccoli mac and cheese

    Boil water and add macaroni. Bring back to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.

    Add broccoli and boil for 2 minutes.

    Drain broccoli and macaroni, set aside.

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Melt butter in small saucepan.
  • 6
    Add flour and combine.

    Whisk in milk and bring to a boil, whisking constantly.

    Add 1/2 cup of the cheese, whisking until melted.

    Remove from heat and stir in cooked macaroni and broccoli.

    Pour into a small buttered casserole dish.

    Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and remaining cheese.

    Bake for 30 minutes, until lightly browned and bubbly.
