Alright I was requested to put up a recipe for this and of course I am gonna do it. Hope you enjoy this Shirley!

Ingredients For southern cornbread stuffing
- CORN BREAD

1 cself rising cornmeal

1/2 cself rising flour

3/4 cbuttermilk

2eggs

2 Tbspvegetable oil
- SOUTHERN CORN BREAD STUFFING

7 slicewhite bread (dried in warm oven)

cornbread
-
1sleeve saltine crackers
-
2 cchopped celery
-
1 lgonion,chopped

8 Tbspbutter (1stick)

7 cstock (chicken)
-
1 tspsalt
-
1/2 tsppepper
-
1 tspsage (optional)

1 Tbsppoultry seasoning (optional)

5eggs,beaten
How To Make southern cornbread stuffing

1For Cornbread: Preheat oven to 350. Combine all ingredients and pour into a greased shallow baking dish. Bake for approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from oven to let cool.

2For stuffing: Preheat oven to 350. Crumble dried white bread slices,cornbread and saltines;mix together and set aside. Saute chopped celery and onion in butter until transparent, approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Pour over cornbread mixture. Add stock;mix well and taste;add salt,pepper,sage and poultry seasoning. Add beaten eggs and mix well. Pour into a greased pan. Bake for about 45 minutes until done.
