My family loves this recipe i make it every Thanksgiving and Christmas. I must tell you i make other times during the year as well because they beg me to.

Ingredients For southern cornbread dressing

2 to 3cakes of cornbread and any left over homemade biscuits you have

1 mdonion chopped

5 to 6 canchicken broth
-
3eggs beaten
-
1 cmelted butter
-
pinchsage, rubbed or dry to taste

pinchthyme, dried to taste

pinchpoultry seasoning to taste

pinchsalt and pepper to taste

How To Make southern cornbread dressing

1Heat oven to 350

2In a large mixing bowl crumble up cornbread and biscuits

3Add chicken broth,onion,melted butter,sage,thyme,poultry seasoning,and salt and pepper to taste.

4Mix all together. Add more chicken broth to get it soupy but not thin continue adding all spices and salt and pepper till you get the taste you want

5After it taste like you want it then add the beaten eggs mix well

6Then pour into large baking pan { i use a 13x9 or larger } then bake at 350 for about 30min to 1 hr or until golden brown or knife inserted comes out clean

7REMEMBER THIS RECIPE MAY CALL FOR MORE THAN ONE PAN TO BAKE IT IN MAKES A LOT OF DRESSING
