not at all a dessert pie; it isn't sweet; it contains avocado, sour cream, and a crust; makes a good side dish, especially with Mexican food!!

Ingredients For sour cream avocado pie

    avocados, ripe
  • 2
    egg yolks
  • 1 can
    evaporated milk
  • 4 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1
    9" pre-baked pie shell
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice

How To Make sour cream avocado pie

    Preheat oven to 325. Scoop avocado from shells, chop and mash (or put chunks into blender, blend until smooth).

    Beat egg yolks until thickened. Add: avocado, milk, 4 Tbsp lemon juice, salt and vanilla. Beat until smooth.

    Pour into pie shell, bake for 20 minutes.

    Cool pie for 30 minutes. Combine sour cream, sugar, and remaining 1 Tbsp lemon juice. Spread over pie. Bake 10 more minutes.

    Chill before serving.
