Being of Polish heritage, we had Sauerkraut and Noodles a lot when I was growing up, but they never tasted as good as this "doctored-up-from-the-basics" recipe I came up with. My family really loves this stuff and we have it often.

Ingredients For sauerkraut and noodles

1-1/2 cuncooked rotini noodles

6 Tbspbutter

2 mdonions, diced

2 Tbspminced garlic (from a jar is fine)

2 cansauerkraut (14.5 oz. size)

2 Tbspworchestershire sauce

2 Tbspbrown sugar, firmly packed

salt and pepper, to taste
How To Make sauerkraut and noodles

1Cook Rotini noodles (al dente) in salted water. Set aside.

2In a colander, drain and rinse Sauerkraut (rinsing removes some of the sour taste). Set aside.

3In a large pan, melt Butter, then add diced Onion and Minced Garlic, and cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium-low and add Sauerkraut, Worchestershire Sauce and Brown Sugar, mixing thoroughly. Add Salt and Pepper to taste. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and add cooked Rotini noodles. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4This goes great with polish sausage, ham, any kind of pork, and even chicken.
