Ingredients For moroccan bulgur and lentils

2 Tbspbutter

1/4 cblanched slivered almonds

1/2 cuncooked bulgur

1/4 cdry lentils, rinsed

1/4 cchopped onion

1 can14.5 oz. can chicken broth

1/4 tspcinnamon
-
1/8 tspground red pepper (cayenne)

1/3 cchopped dried apricots
How To Make moroccan bulgur and lentils

1Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir almonds 1-2 minutes or until browned (be care not to burn). Remove almonds with a slotted spoon; set aside.

2Add bulgur, lentils and onion; cook and stir 2-3 minutes or until onion is crisp-tender. Add broth, cinnamon and ground red pepper; bring to a boil and then reduce heat. Cover and simmer 20-30 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.

3Stir in almonds and apricots; heat thoroughly.
