How To Make mom's unbaked beans (to die for)
-
1in a cast iron skillet, fry bacon till crisp set aside. use bacon grease to sautee your onion and belpepper till tender.
-
2Drain beans into the onion mix in skillet, then add whole box of brown sugar and mustard blend completely. (i always taste mine here, if it needs more mustard add it little by little) should be tangy yet sweet. allow to cook till thick. usually mom lets it cook forever lol. around 1 hour or so. when your ready to eat add the beans then because they do get hard if left in while cooking.
