Got this recipe many, many years ago from Gus Saunders - he had a cooking show and people would call in with recipies. My husband loves this combination of ingredients - says it's "just right" - for him anyway.

Ingredients For jazzed up pepless beans

20 oz. canbaked beans (any variety)

2 Tbspketchup

3 Tbspbrown sugar, firmly packed

1/4 cmaple syrup

2 Tbspbacon drippings

2 Tbspminced onion

2 Tbspminced celery
-
2 Tbspgreen pepper
-
salt and pepper to taste

cayenne pepper to taste

1/2 Tbspprepared mustard
How To Make jazzed up pepless beans

1Mix all ingredients together and place into a greased, shallow, ovenproof dish.

2If you wish, you can place 3 strips of bacon on top before baking.

3Bake at 375 for approximately 30 minutes.
