Ingredients For flora's baked macaroni and cheese

6 cups water, 1tbsp salt, 2 cups macaroni

1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp butter softened, 2 large eggs

2 cups evaporated milk,1tsp salt, 2 dashes tabasco sauce, 1lb extra sharp cheddar cheese grated

and mixed with 1/2 cup grated american cheese 1/2 tsp sweet paprika

1PUT THE WATER AND SALT IN A HEAVY SAUCE PAN AND BRING TO A BOIL, SLOWLY STIR IN MACARONI BOIL FOR 12 MINUTES STIRRING CONSTANTLY, THE MACARONI SHOULD BE FIRM, BUT TENDER, POUR THE MACARONI INTO A COLANDER,AND RINSE WITH A LITTLE COLD WATER, DRAIN AND TOSS THE MACARONI WITH THE BUTTER SET ASIDE. IN A SMALL BOWL BEAT THE EGGS UNTIL LIGHT YELLOW ADD THE MILK SALT AND TABASCO SAUCE. IN A LARGE BUTTERED CASSEROLE DISH ,ALTERNATE LAYERS OF THE COOKED MACARONI WITH LAYERS OF THE MIXED CHEESE, ENDING WITH THE CHEESE ON TOP. POUR EGG MIXTURE SLOWLY AND EVENLY OVER THE MACARONI AND CHEESE, SPRINKLE WITH PAPRIKA. BAKE FOR 30 TO 40 MINUTES UNTIL CUSTARD IS SET AND THE TOP IS BUBBLY AND GOLDEN BROWN
