When I make these I make plenty. They freeze well. If there are any left. If you have trouble finding the shells Goya makes them. They come 10 to a package. Or make your own I have a recipe for them

Ingredients For empanadas

40shells

3 lgchopped onions

2 lgchopped green peppers

1 lgchopped red bell peppers

1salt and pepper to taste

Tbspcumin or more to taste

1 Tbsppaprika or to taste

basil to taste
-
1 sm8 once pitted green olives with pimento

3hard boiled eggs chopped

2 lbground beef cooked and drained.
How To Make empanadas

1Fry the onions and the peppers in oil until just crisp, then add the meat, salt and pepper.Add the cumin, paprika, and the basil. When the beef is cooked and cooled, add the chopped eggs, and the chopped olives.mix well. place a little on each empanada shell and wrap the shell around them. Place them in a deep fryer at 350 degreese and cook until the shell are light golden brown.
