8 ozlarge elbow macaroni

2 chalf-and-half

3 Tbspall-purpose flour

1/2 tspblack pepper

1 dashground red pepper

3 ozprocessed cheese, shredded (such as velveeta), about 3/4 cup

2 1/2 ozextra-sharp cheddar cheese, shredded, about 2/3 cup

1/2 cgruyere cheese, shredded

1/4 cparmesan cheese, grated

1/4 tspkosher salt

cooking spray
-
1/4 cfresh breadcrumbs
How To Make easy stovetop mac and cheese

1Preheat broiler to high.

2Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Drain.

3While the pasta cooks, combine milk, flour, and peppers in a large saucepan, stirring with a whisk. Brink to a boil; cook for 4 minutes or until thick. Remove from the heat.

4Add the cheeses and salt to the milk mixture. Stir until smooth. Add the pasta, and stir to coat.

5Spoon the mixture into a glass or ceramic baking dish coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly over the top; broil for 2 minutes or until browned.
