Aunt Roselles recipe. She is from the deep south where they take their mac & cheese very seriously, so you KNOW this has got to be good !

Ingredients For crock pot mac & cheese

8 ozelbow macaroni (uncooked)

1 (12 oz) canevaporated milk
-
1 tspsalt
-
3 cgrated sharp cheddar cheese

2eggs, beaten
-
1 stickbutter, melted
- CRUMB TOPPING:

1/2 cdry bread crumbs
-
1 Tbspbutter, melted
How To Make crock pot mac & cheese

1Cook the macaroni according to package directions until almost tender.

2Mix the cooked macaroni with all the remaining ingredients (except 1/2 cup of the cheddar cheese) in a large bowl. Pour mixture into a well greased crock pot.

3Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.

4Cook with the crock pot set on low for 3 hours. DO NOT COOK ANY LONGER THAN 3 HOURS OR YOUR MACARONI WILL BECOME DRY AND STICKY.

5To make the topping, melt 1 Tablespoon butter and mix in with the dry bread crumbs. When ready to serve, sprinkle topping onto the macaroni and enjoy !!
