I don't know when or where this recipe came from but I got it from my mother and have made it for many many years at Thanksgiving and Christmas. You can make this a few days in advance keeping it covered in the refrigerator. For an amazing next day sandwich, turkey, stuffing (or dressing), cream cheese and cranberry sauce!

Ingredients For cranberry sauce

2 pkg12 ounce fresh cranberries

1 1/2 csugar

1 cfresh squeezed orange juice

1/2 cwater
-
1/2 cred wine (cabernet)

1 Tbsporange zest
-
1 tspground ginger
-
3/4 ccrystallized ginger
How To Make cranberry sauce

1Add first 7 ingredients to saucepan. Bring to a boil making sure the sugar dissolves and the cranberries pop (About 10 minutes). Cool completely. Stir crystallized ginger. Cover and refrigerate.
