Ingredients For christy's hushpuppies

  • 1 box
    jiffy corn muffin mix
  • 1
    egg (large and beaten)
  • 1/2 c
    jalapeno peppers (minced)
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • kosher salt

How To Make christy's hushpuppies

    When making hushpuppies, you probably already have a deep fryer on frying fish, etc. I use this oil for frying these.

    Mix all ingredients and place in refrigerator for one hour - or take out right when you are ready to fry these.

    Using two large spoons, dip into batter with one spoon and slide batter off into oil with the other spoon.

    Watch closely. These only take a few minutes on each side. Remove and let drain on paper towel - and quickly dust with Kosher salt.
