Ingredients For baked beans-low fat, low sodium

43 ozcan of pork & beans, drained and rinsed

2 cno salt added ketsup

1/2 cbrown sugar (trivia brown sugar blend, opt)

1/4 cmolasses
-
2 tspbold & spicy mustard
-
1/2 tspcoarse black pepper
-
1/4 conion, diced
-
2 tspbalsamic vinegar (added on 9/25/11)
How To Make baked beans-low fat, low sodium

1NOTE: If using Trivia brown sugar blend, use the guide on the package to determine how much to use.

2Drain and thoroughly rinse pork & beans, (the juice is where most of the sodium is). Place in large pot.

3Add one cup of no salt added ketsup, one cup of water, molasses, brown sugar, mustard, pepper & onion. Mix well, simmer on lowest heat for 20-30 min.
