Ingredients For baked beans

  • 8 c
    van kamp's pork and beans
  • 8 slice
    bacon
  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c
    bbq sauce
  • 1 c
    karo maple flavor syrup
  • 2 tsp
    fresh minced garlic
  • 1/4 c
    dark brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    liquid smoke flavoring
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp
    yellow mustard

How To Make baked beans

    This is best made in a cast iron dutch oven. Fry bacon crisp. Remove from bacon grease and drain on paper towels. Crumble when cooled. Saute onion in bacon drippings until tender and remove from bacon grease with a slotted spoon. Remove grease from dutch oven and combine all ingredients in the dutch oven. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours stirring every 30 minutes.
