I created this new crazy style potato salad recipe, filled with bacon and cheese.

Ingredients For crazy style potato salad

  • POTATO SALAD
  • 5 lb
    red potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp
    margarine
  • 1 lg
    vidalia onion, peeled and diced
  • 3/4 c
    packed light brown sugar
  • 1 3/4 c
    cubed processed American cheese
  • 1 c
    crumbled cooked bacon
  • CRAZY STYLE SAUCE
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 1 c
    chunky blue cheese dressing
  • 4 tsp
    pickled jalapeno liquids
  • 3/4 c
    honey mustard
  • 1 Tbsp
    creole seasoning
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pickled jalapenos
  • 1 Tbsp
    sea salt mixed with black pepper

How To Make crazy style potato salad

    Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  • 2
    Add whole potatoes and cook until tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Drain, run under cold water to cool, and chop into 1-inch cubes. Transfer to a large serving bowl and refrigerate until completely chilled, about 2 hours.

    For the crazy style sauce combine all ingredients in a medium bowl. Whisk together until blended. Cover and refrigerate for about 2 hours.

    In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add margarine and onion, and saute for 5 minutes. Stir in brown sugar and caramelize for another 5 minutes until browned.

    Add American cheese cubes, bacon crumbles and onions into the bowl of cooked potatoes, mix well.

    Pour crazy style sauce into potato mixture; stir together and serve.
