Ingredients For holiday essentials: drunken cranberry sauce

  • PLAN/PURCHASE

    fresh cranberries, rinsed
  • 1 c
    tart cherry juice
  • 1 c
    coconut sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1/2 c
    bourbon

How To Make holiday essentials: drunken cranberry sauce

    Gather your ingredients (mise en place).

    Place the ingredient; except the bourbon, into a saucepan over medium-high heat.

    Boil until the cranberries begin to burst, about 3 – 4 minutes

    Add the bourbon and reduce to a simmer.

    Stir, and break up the cranberries with the back of your spoon.

    Simmer for an additional 15 – 20 minutes.
