This goes with a barbecue meal as well as a holiday meal. It's easy to make and won't last long.

Ingredients For creamy fruit salad

  • 1 can
    fruit cocktail, drained
  • 1 can
    mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 jar
    maraschino cherries, drained
  • 1
    apple, peeled and cubes
  • 1-2
    bananas, sliced
  • 1 c
    red or green grapes, halved
  • 1-2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 c
    pecans pieces, toasted*
  • sm
    cool whip

How To Make creamy fruit salad

  • 1
    Mix all fruit together in a large bowl. Sprinkle with lemon juice and toss to distribute evenly.

    *preheat oven to 375°. Spread pecan pieces on ungreased cookie sheet and roast for 5-7 minutes. Let cool thoroughly* Add in pecans and cool whip. Stir lightly to combine.

    Cover with plastic wrap a chill for at least an hour before serving.
