This is my favorite cranberry recipe. Frequently there are no leftovers, but if there are, spread it over a block of cream cheese for a great appetizer.

Ingredients For cranberry sauce extraordinaire

1 cwater

1 cwhite sugar

1 pkg12 ounce fresh cranberries

1orange, peeled, and chopped

1apple, peeled, cored and diced

1pear, peeled, cored and diced

1 cdried fruit, chopped

1 cchopped pecans
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1 tspground cinnamon
-
1/2 tspground nutmeg
How To Make cranberry sauce extraordinaire

1In a medium saucepan, boil water and sugar until sugar dissolves. Reduce the heat to simmer.

2Add cranberries, and all other ingredients.

3Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
