So good — and no cooking required. Prepare the relish at least a day ahead, and add more cardamom before serving if you'd like a stronger flavor. From Bon Appetit, November 2001.

Ingredients For cranberry and dried cherry relish

1 12-oz pkgfresh cranberries

1 cdried tart cherries (about 5 ounces)

1 cgolden brown sugar, packed

1/2 tspground cardamom
How To Make cranberry and dried cherry relish

1Mix all ingredients in large bowl.

2Place half of mixture in processor. Using on/off turns, process until coarsely chopped. Transfer to medium bowl.

3Repeat with remaining ingredients. Chill at least 1 day and up to 2 days, stirring occasionally. Makes 2 cups.
