My mom used to make this for Thanksgiving. I've been making it for the last 12 Thanksgivings. Just keeping my mom's tradition going.

Ingredients For apple compote

  • 1 can
    whole cranberry sauce (lg. can)
  • 1 c
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 tsp
    ginger
  • 1/2 c
    raisins
  • 6 md
    apples, peeled, cored, and cut into 1/8's

How To Make apple compote

  • 1
    place all ingredients in casserole dish. Stir to mix well.

    Bake at 425 for 50. minutes. Stir after 25 minutes.

    This is a great Thanksgiving side dish served warm. Can also be served cold. Add a little whipped cream or vanilla ice cream and you have dessert.
