Ingredients For tomato and basil goat cheese spread

1/3 csun dried tomatoes, dry packed (not in oil)

boiling water

4 ozgoat cheese, soft type (chevre)

4 ozcream cheese, softened

1/4 cchopped fresh basil (or 2 teaspoons dried)

2 clovegarlic, finely minced

1/8 tspground black pepper

2-3 Tbspmilk
How To Make tomato and basil goat cheese spread

1In a small bowl, cover tomatoes with boiling water. Let stand 10 minutes. Drain and discard liquid. Finely chop tomatoes.

2In a medium bowl, stir together tomatoes, cheeses, basil, garlic and pepper. Stir in enough milk to reach a spreading consistency.

3Cover and chill for at least 2 hours (up to 8 hours).

4Serve with assorted crackers.
