Now living in the south, pecans are almost a staple. This makes a great topping on grilled chicken or fish...Thanks Dad!

Ingredients For toasted pecan butter, dad

  • 1 1/2 c
    shelled pecans
  • 6 Tbsp
    butter, softened (use unsalted)
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh squeezed lemon juice (i used the real lemon from the freezer section)
  • 2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce

How To Make toasted pecan butter, dad

    Toast pecans in oven in single layer, stirring occasionally, at 350 degrees. When they are lightly brown, in about 10 min, put on a plate to cool completely. They will smell amazing at this point!!

    Put 3/4 c nuts in food processor or blender. Add remaining, blend to the consistency of smooth butter. Leave at room temperature.

    Chop the rest of the pecans for a topping or garnish over the butter.
