Unique recipe for an old favorite of my family. We loved pimento stuffed olives and had them on our appetizer / veggie tray for every family gathering. We also loved a cheesy spread for sandwiches when we ate a quick meal. This recipe is the best of all those things we loved!

Ingredients For the best pimento cheese spread

  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans, toasted
  • 2 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pimento stuffed spanish olives
  • 1/3 c
    bottled chili sauce
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 10 oz
    sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

How To Make the best pimento cheese spread

    Preheat oven to 350°. Bake pecans in a single layer in a shallow pan 8 to 10 minutes or until toasted. Cool for 5 minutes; finely chop pecans and set aside.

    Stir together mayonnaise and next 3 ingredients until well blended. Stir in cheese and pecans. Refrigerate for 3-5 hours until cold.

    Serve on your favorite slices of bread or rolls sliced for sandwiches (I add extra mayonnaise to make it extra creamy!). Serve with crackers, chips, fresh crunchy vegetables (i,e. baby carrots, celery, sliced pepper strips) as an appetizer.
