This shallot flavored butter goes great on broiled or grilled fish and meats or on omelets. The recipe originally came from one of my mother’s recipe files.

Ingredients For shallot butter

  • 1/2 c
    (1 stick) butter, softened
  • 4 tsp
    finely chopped shallots
  • 1 c
    dry white wine
  • salt and white pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp
    finely chopped parsley

How To Make shallot butter

  • 1
    Combine shallots and wine in a saucepan and simmer until wine is reduced to 1/4 cup.

    Cream butter with a fork in a bowl. Gradually stir in shallot wine, parsley, and salt and white pepper to taste.
