This pesto is a little different... it has walnuts in it! But it is really good. I like it on Tricuits.

Ingredients For joan's pesto

1/2 colive oil, extra virgin

1lemon,juiced

6cloves of garlic

1 cfresh basil leaves

1 canwalnuts

1 cfreshly grated parmesan cheese

1 cextra virgin olive oil

salt and black pepper to taste
How To Make joan's pesto

1Blend the 1/2 cup of olive oil,the lemon juice,basil leaves,walnuts and grated parmesan cheese in a food processor until all ingredients are integrated.

2With the processor running, slowly the 1 cup of olive oil until the mixture becomes a thick slightly textured paste.

3enjoy on bruchetta, in soups, or on crackers.
