This pesto is a little different... it has walnuts in it! But it is really good. I like it on Tricuits.

Ingredients For joan's pesto

  • 1/2 c
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1
    lemon,juiced
  • 6
    cloves of garlic
  • 1 c
    fresh basil leaves
  • 1 can
    walnuts
  • 1 c
    freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 c
    extra virgin olive oil
  • salt and black pepper to taste

How To Make joan's pesto

  • 1
    Blend the 1/2 cup of olive oil,the lemon juice,basil leaves,walnuts and grated parmesan cheese in a food processor until all ingredients are integrated.

    With the processor running, slowly the 1 cup of olive oil until the mixture becomes a thick slightly textured paste.

    enjoy on bruchetta, in soups, or on crackers.
