hot pastrami spread

This is a great hot spread for a party or you just need a snack. The recipe calls for using rye bread (St.Pattys day I do the rye) , but I cut up bagels to put the spread on but any bread or crackers will work.

Ingredients For hot pastrami spread

2 pkg(8oz. each) cream cheese, softened

1/2 csour cream

2 pkg(2 1/2oz. each) thinly sliced pastrami, chopped

1/2 cfinely chopped green pepper

1/3 cchopped pecans or walnuts, optional

thinly sliced pumernickel and light rye bread, or bagels (cut up), or soft preztels (cut up)
How To Make hot pastrami spread

1In a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Add pastrami and green pepper; mix well. Transfer to a greased 1 quart baking dish.

2Sprinkle with pecans if desired. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until heated through and edges are bubbly. Place bread choice item around you spread and serve.
