Due to all the current shortages at the grocery store my favorite flavored spreads are often out of stock. I really miss them so I decided to make my own, using the plain cream cheese. The results were amazing. I think I like my homemade spread better than the store's variety. Saves me a bit of money as well!

Ingredients For ellen's knockout cream cheese spread

  • 12 oz
    philadelphia cream cheese spread, plain (whipped is even better)
  • 8 oz
    philadelphia cream cheese spread, plain (whipped is even better)
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced onion
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    freeze-dried chives
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dash
    dill weed
  • 1 dash
    salt, to taste

How To Make ellen's knockout cream cheese spread

    In a medium sized bowl, mix all ingredients together, whipping until it becomes soft and spreadable.

    Place spread in a covered container and refrigerate overnight for best flavor.

    Serve spread on bagels, rice cakes, celery or any vegetable you prefer.
