Ingredients For cowboy butter

1 csalted butter, room temperature

1/2 tspcayenne pepper

1 1/2 tspsmoked paprika

1 tspchili powder

1 tspdried thyme

1/2 tspblack pepper

1 TbspDijon mustard

4-5 clovegarlic, minced

1 Tbspfresh chives, minced

1 Tbspfresh parsley, minced

1 tsplemon zest

1 tsplemon juice
How To Make cowboy butter

1In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, chili powder, thyme, and black pepper.

2Add the Dijon mustard, garlic, chives, parsley, lemon zest, and lemon juice.

3Mix with a rubber spatula until combined.

4Place the mixture in the center of a large piece of plastic wrap.

5Bring the sides of the plastic wrap together. Shape the butter into a log. Twist the ends to ensure everything is sealed. Refrigerate for 6 - 8 hours.

6To serve, slice the butter and add to cooked steak, fish, or chicken. Cowboy Butter can also be used as a dipping sauce for bread or meat.
