umami is called the 5th taste. This is a savory paste to use with pasta as a condiment dip marinade or secret ingredient in soups, stews, chilies and gravies.

Ingredients For umami paste

  • 1 Tbsp
    anchovy paste
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    tomato paste
  • 1/4 c
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    fish sauce
  • 4
    shiitake mushrooms finely chopped
  • 1 tsp
    red miso paste
  • 1 tsp
    balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp
    red pepper flakes

How To Make umami paste

    place all ingredients in food processor. Blend until smooth
