Nothing better with fish, than your own home made tarter sauce...beats the store bought anytime...I use the dill relish in mine, as that's what my family prefers..

Ingredients For tarter sauce

  • 1 c
    helmanns mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp
    or more - drained, dill or sweet pickle relish
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced, onion
  • salt
    & pepper to taste
  • 1/8 - 1/4 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    lemon juice - optional

How To Make tarter sauce

  • 1
    In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise,mustard, pickle relish, and onion. Add salt and pepper to taste. If desired, stir in lemon juice. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
