Ingredients For spicy chili dipping sauce

  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    rice vinegar
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 1 Tbsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp
    siracha sauce - or to taste
  • 1 Tbsp
    corn starch
  • 1 Tbsp
    water
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    fish sauce or 1 tsp salt

How To Make spicy chili dipping sauce

  • 1
    Over medium high heat, in a small sauce pan, add sugar,vinegar and water and bring to a boil, while stirring, until the sugar is dissolved.

    Add the finely minced garlic, Sriracha and crushed red pepper. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until it slightly thickens.

    Dissolve 1 tablespoon of corn starch with 1 tablespoon of water.

    Bring the sauce to a rapid boil and whisk in the slurry, stirring until it thickens. Set aside to cool.
