Home made pesto is so much better than the prepared kind, though there are some good brands. Someone gave me quite a bit of fresh basil from their garden, and so I made this pesto sauce for dinner. It's easy to make and delicious!

Ingredients For pesto

8 cloosely packed, fresh basil leaves

1 cgrated parmesan cheese

1/2 cextra virgin oilive oil

4 ozpine nuts

6 clovefresh garlic
How To Make pesto

1Combine half of the basil, cheese, garlic, and pine nuts in a food processor. Process until thoroughly chopped and blended.

2Add half of the oil and blend until mixture becomes a paste. Add the remaining ingredients and continue to blend until completely mixed and it resembles a fairly smooth paste.

3Use 1-2 Tbsp per plate of hot cooked pasta. Season to taste. Enjoy! Makes a little over a cup of pesto sauce.
