This is a rich beef sauce that tastes great over steak. If I don't have demi glace I use beef broth with Knorr's homestyle bouillon and it is just as good. Adding mushrooms is good too.

Ingredients For demi glace wine sauce

  • 1 lg
    shallot diced
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    dry red wine
  • 8 oz
    beef demi glace

How To Make demi glace wine sauce

  • 1
    Heat a saucepan and add 1 tablespoon butter. Saute the shallot and garlic for 1 min. Add wine and reduce by half. Add demi glace and heat through. Stir in remaining tbsp. of butter. Serve over steaks, or roasts.
