I ate at a Cuban restaurant in town and fell in love with the food. I went online and found lots of great Cuban recipes. Sofrito is a simmering sauce that goes great with beef, pork or chicken

Ingredients For cuban sofrito

  • 21
    cherry tomatoes
  • 2 md
    green peppers chopped
  • 2 lg
    onions chopped
  • 10 clove
    garlic chopped
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp
    cumin and oregano
  • 3/4 c
    sherry
  • 4 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • salt to taste

How To Make cuban sofrito

  • 1
    Saute all ingredients except sherry until veggies are softened. Add Sherry and let simmer 10 minutes.
