Ingredients For classic pasta sauce

2 canfire-roasted tomatoes (28 oz. each)

1 mdonion, chopped

1/4 colive oil, extra virgin

4 clovegarlic minced

1 cantomato paste (6 oz)

1/4 cdry red wine
-
1/4 cfresh italian parsley, minced

1 Tbspdried basil, crushed
-
1 Tbspdried oregano, crushed

1 tspsalt
-
1/2 tspfreshly ground pepper
How To Make classic pasta sauce

1Drain tomatoes, reserving liquid. Finely chop the tomatoes and set aside.

2In large saucepan, cook onion in olive oil until tender; add garlic and cook 1 minute. Add reserved juice, tomatoes, tomato paste, red wine, parsley, basil, oregano, salt and pepper.

3Simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
