I stumbled on this flavorful gravy while shopping at Sam's Club. A demo girl was giving samples of it away as she served it over mashed potatoes. I thought it was such a great recipe that I would give it a try. The flavor really impressed me, especially being served with potatoes. I thought since I had so many things to make, that I could serve this quick & easy gravy. Of course I recreated the recipe on the package, and it turned out so full of flavor. I used chicken broth instead of water, & added Half & Half to make it creamier, some chopped chive,& kitchen Bouquet for added color

Ingredients For quick & easy poultry gravy

  • 2 c
    chicken broth
  • 1/2 c
    half & half
  • 1/2 c
    mccormick's poultry gravy mix
  • 1/2 tsp
    steak seasoning(optional) taste first before adding
  • 1/2-1 tsp
    kitchen bouquet, optional
  • 2 tsp
    chopped dried chive

    This recipe cooks in less than 10 minutes, about 6 or 7 to be exact. So it is quite simple easy and very tasty and full of flavor coming from a dry mix.

    In a small sauce pan add the chicken broth, Half & half, dry poultry Gravy mix, and steak seasoning if desired. Whisk with a wire whisk till blended and there are no lumps.

    Reduce heat to a simmer, whisking occasionally to prevent sticking. Cook for 7-8 minutes till thickened. Add enough kitchen bouquet to reach the desired caramel color you desire, if desired. Serve & enjoy. This is what the Kitchen Bouquet looks like. NO KITCHEN SHOULD BE WITHOUT IT, IN MY OPINION.
