Ingredients For our favorite strawberry pancake or dessert syrup

1pint fresh strawberries, halved

3/4cup sugar
-
2tb. light corn syrup

1 1/2tsp. fresh lemon juice

1/2tsp. butter
How To Make our favorite strawberry pancake or dessert syrup

1Place strawberries in a blender or food processor. Cover and process until smooth. Transfer to a saucepan.

2Add sugar, corn syrup, lemon juice and butter. Bring to a gentle boil. Gently boil and stir constantly for one minute. Skim off foam; strain seeds, if a clear sauce is desired.

3Serve with additional fresh strawberries and whipped cream over pancakes, waffles, angel food cake, ice cream or other desserts.
