fresh cranberry relish - spiced
This is a wonderful sauce that my whole family loves. It is also super easy to make and the first Christmas dish that my youngest made by himself. His favorite part is when the berries "pop".

Ingredients For fresh cranberry relish - spiced

3/4 capple or orange juice

1/2 to 2/3 csugar

1/4 tspcinnamon

1/4 tspnutmeg

1 dashground cloves

12 ozpkg. fresh cranberries

1/2 clight raisins (optional)

1/2 cchopped pecans (optional)
How To Make fresh cranberry relish - spiced

1In saucepan combine juice, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.

2Add cranberries and raisins. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cook and stir for 3 to 4 min. or until cranberries pop.

3Remove from heat. Stir in pecans.

4Transfer to serving bowl. Cover and chill thoroughly.
