herbed tomato dip

This recipe I mixed up one summer day while in the kitchen wanting something to snack on and enjoyed it very much. It is in a small herbal cookbook that I published a long time ago. This is a very refreshing dip and has been enjoyed by many. It is even better for you if you grow your own organic herbs. Hope you enjoy ;)

Ingredients For herbed tomato dip

  • 1 pkg
    8 ounce cream cheese, softened
  • 2
    very ripe roma tomatoes, fine diced
  • 1 Tbsp
    mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp
    onion, minced finely
  • 1 tsp
    fresh oregano, minced
  • 1 tsp
    fresh basil, minced
  • 1 tsp
    fresh chives, minced
  • sea salt and black pepper to taste

How To Make herbed tomato dip

  • 1
    Mix all ingredients together very well. Let it chill overnight for best flavor or can be served after it has set for a hour.

    Serve with chips or crackers. Can also be spread on a bagel for a nice snack. Enjoy ;)
