A very fresh tasting salsa, you use tomatoes from the garden. I serve this w/ baked tortilla chips.

Ingredients For fresh from the garden salsa

  • 3 lg
    fresh garden tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 md
    onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1
    jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    finely chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 1 tsp
    olive oil
  • 8 oz
    no salt added, tomato sauce
  • 1 dash
    hot pepper sauce, or to your taste

    In bowl, combine all ingredients, mix well. Cover, chill until ready to use.
