This is so good. Easy to can in water bath for 15 minutes. Great for gift. If serving right away place in fridge to get it cold.

Ingredients For tomatillo salsa (salsa verde)

  • 10 md
    tomatillos
  • 2
    serrano chiles seeded
  • 4 clove
    garlic
  • 1 sm
    onion
  • 1 c
    cilantro stems
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • salt to taste

How To Make tomatillo salsa (salsa verde)

    Husk the tomatillos remove the stem and place on a cookie sheet. Cut the serrano chilies in half and remove the seeds. Place them on the cookie sheet. Roast in 400 degree oven until browned and charred a bit.

    Place the tomatillos and serranos in food processor. Add the remaining ingredients. Process until well mixed. Taste and season with salt.

    Makes 1 pint jar.
