There are long and short process for canning of pickles. This one is the short process, and much easier.

Ingredients For sweet pickles

1 galmedium sized cucumbers, cut in 1" chunks

1/2 csalt

boiling water
-
3 cgranulated sugar

3 capple cider vinegar

1 cwater
-
1/2 tspturmeric

1 tspdry mustard
-
1 tspallspice
-
1 tspmustard seed
-
1 tspcelery seed
How To Make sweet pickles

1Combine cucumber chunks and salt. Place in a large enamel pot, add boiling water to cover. Let stand overnight and then drain.

2Mix together sugar, vinegar and spices in a big stock pot. When it comes to a boil add the pickles and return to the boiling point.

3Spoon into hot sterilized jars and seal.
