Serve as a salsa cold. If used as a base for shrimp or chicken (add: veg. or chicken broth) (add: can of spiced tomatoes and cup of water) boil down and cook meats in broth.. and serve over rice or Mofongo!!

Ingredients For salsa

  • 4 lg
    bell papers (1 green, 1 yellow, 1 red, 1 orange) (chopped)
  • 1 lg
    sweet onion (chopped)
  • 1
    fresh jalapeno (chopped)
  • 1 bunch
    fresh cilantro – chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    capers (whole)
  • 1/2 c
    halved olives w/ pimentos
  • 1/4 c
    white wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    dried oregano
  • 1 can
    can tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    minced garlic. (or more)
  • 1 tsp
    garlic salt.
  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil.

How To Make salsa

    Chop Bell peppers, onion, Cilantro & Jalapeno. mix together in a bowl.

    Add all other ingredients and let sit for at least and hour and serve as a salsa or cold topping.

    Alternatively: Use as a base for shrimp or chicken. add to a sauce pan with chicken or Vegi Broth. A can of spiced tomatoes and a cup of water
