A quick and easy sauce to use on chicken enchiladas or other mexican dishes.

Ingredients For quick & easy tomatillo sauce

  • 4 md
    tomatillos, peeled
  • 1
    canned chipotle pepper (packed in adobo sauce)
  • 2 sm
    (or 1 medium) onions, peeled
  • 3 clove
    garlic, peeled
  • 1 tsp
    sugar or honey
  • 1/4 bunch
    fresh cilantro, chopped
  • salt & pepper to taste

How To Make quick & easy tomatillo sauce

    Cover the tomatillos, pepper and onion with water and boil 5 minutes or until soft and tender.

    Drain liquid and combine with remaining ingredients in a blender and blend well. Taste and adjust seasonings.

    Excellent on chicken enchiladas or for tacos.
