This is another of my Great-aunt Naomi's recipes. I can remember eating it, but I have never made it myself. I've estimated the prep and cooking times as there were none given. I have also written it as she did; mis-spelled words and all.

Ingredients For pepper relish

  • 12 green peppers
  • 12 red peppers
  • 12 onions-large
  • 3 pts. vinegar
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 t. (tablespoons) salt

How To Make pepper relish

  • 1
    Remove the seeds from peppers.
  • 2
    Peal onions.
  • 3
    Grind all together, not to finely.
  • 4
    Pour boiling water over and let stand five min. and drain.
  • 5
    Cook vinegar, sugar and salt.
  • 6
    Add peppers and onions, then boilup once.

    Put in hot jars and seal.

    10-12 pts.
