I got this recipe from my nephew at least 7 years ago and have added it my permanent recipe collection. It's easy to make and quite delicious and allows you to be creative if you so desire by incorporating tomatillas or more jalapenos according to personal taste.

Ingredients For nephew josh's salsa

  • 2 lg
    tomatoes
  • 1 sm
    onion, small dice
  • 1 sm
    green pepper, small dice
  • 1 lg
    jalapeno, seeded and minced
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 5 sprig
    cilantro
  • 3 Tbsp
    white vinegar
  • 1 sm
    can tomato sauce
  • 1 pinch
    salt

How To Make nephew josh's salsa

    Combine all ingredients in a non reactive bowl and store in fridge for 7 days.

    If you want to spice it up more then add an additional minced jalapeno. Another variation is to add a small diced tomatilla.
